The children's author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
An official for the firm commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was made after an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour towards female individuals.
The company did not confirm the motivations for this action, adding: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works in total, including a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
