Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window
An aircraft transporting Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an announcement which verified that all passengers were secure.
"The plane touched down in accordance with established safety measures and everyone onboard, such as Pete Hegseth, is secure," a press officer stated in a social media post.
The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to Brussels during the flight.
This event is not the first time that a American defense plane carrying a high-ranking official has encountered equipment failures.
In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was forced to head back to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical fault.
